About the event
To celebrate the third anniversary of our hardback book, Letters to the Earth: Writing to a Planet in Crisis, co-founder and co-editor Kay Michael will be inviting live letter readings from the workshop hosted on the 19th November and from contributing authors, Booker Prize winning author Ben Okri and 'powerhouse of climate justice' environmental lawyer and activist Farhana Yamin.
Joining our authors will be new letters from special guests NASA scientist Peter Kalmus and actor, author and filmmaker Lily Cole, who will speak alongside youth activists we met on the ground in Egypt: Sofia Luna from Peru who will be telling us about our collaboration with Re-Earth Initiative, a global network of youth activists; and Hania Imran from Pakistan who will be sharing the impacts of the recent devastating floods. Ibrahim Tchan, a musician and director and co-founder of Ecomusee Tata Somba from Benin, will be sharing stories from his homeland and the gift of his song.
Together we'll be sharing our reflections on this year's COP and the role of storytelling in response to the planetary emergency.
Tune in and be inspired to add your voice to the story.
