About the event
A free workshop at the Dolphin Women's Centre in Ward Ed Park, East Birmingham for women of all ages, faiths, cultures and economic backgrounds to share their stories of climate change and migration.
This is an opportunity for women to come together, meet each other and explore your relationship to the climate and ecological emergency by writing and sharing a 'Letter to the Earth'. This can be a letter to or from the Earth, another species, person, place or moment in time. It can be a letter telling the story of your homeland. It's an opportunity to connect with nature and express what's important to you about the state of the planet.
As part of the Culture Declares Emergency Midlands Hubs, we are planning for all Letters created in the workshop to be included in the Commonwealth Games festival neighbourhood site programme in August 2022.
