About the event
In this participatory workshop you'll have the opportunity to meet others in your area to share your responses to the current crises we face: climate change, biodiversity loss, social injustice and our uncertain future. Together we'll create messages for a better future.
Your message will be turned into a letter to your local MP, and together we will deliver batches of hundreds of letters to their office to invite them to engage and respond to your calls for change.
By writing and sharing your own letter, you will join the story of thousands worldwide who are finding their voice and their role in the midst of crisis.
Letters to the Earth is a global campaign gathering and delivering messages for a safer, greener world. Children as young as 4, parents, teachers, nurses, scientists and artists including Yoko Ono have added their voice to the story. You can buy a copy of Letters to the Earth: Writing to a Planet in Crisis, introduced by Emma Thompson in all bookstores now.
The workshop is led by Letters to the Earth co-founder Kay Michael and is part of a programme of community workshops being hosted in collaboration with The Climate Coalition and Listening to the Land, a 500 mile pilgrimage to Glasgow for the next UN Climate Summit, whereby we are collecting people’s fears and hopes for the future.
