Earth Day 22 April 2020

Updated: Jan 25, 2021

Viewers tuned in on Earth Day 22nd April 2020 here or via our Facebook Event to hear Letters to the Earth: Letters of Love in a Time of Crisis. Watch again below.

In these moments of separation, stillness and unknown, Letters to the Earth is an opportunity to reconnect and for a new story to emerge.

For our key workers, neighbours, faraway friends and family. For yourself, for others and for the Earth: Letters of love, support and hope are needed.

For the 50th Anniversary Earth Day celebrations, we're showing our support for environmental protection by releasing over 50 letters sent to us from our latest callout, read by a global community of readers, with some very special guests. On April 22nd 5 videos will be released, as 5 individual chapters:

09:00 | 12:00 | 15:00 | 18:00 | 21:00 GMT

These are letters received from our spring 2020 callout.

What do you want to say?

What needs to be heard?

Keep writing your letters.

This online event is part of Letters to the Earth's 1st anniversary celebrations and comes as a response to the current crisis - the global pandemic. We were due to be performing at the Roundhouse in May and across various festivals over the summer, but with all gigs cancelled we are suffering from a great loss of income. We believe in what we do: creating inclusive and global creative community in response to the climate and ecological emergency. And so we will continue.

But we need your help. If you've enjoyed our Earth Day video stream of letters please consider making a donation that will go some way towards the production costs and enable us to continue doing our work.

To donate, visit here. Thank You.
